The PresentationFor more than 10,000 years, human beings have relied on the traditional "punitive" approach to deal with the challenge of violence. In a stunning departure, theorist and writer Ari Cowan turns our concept of violence on its end. In this brief presentation (30 minutes to one hour, depending on sponsoring organization requirements), Cowan introduces this new and revolutionary approach and reveals examples of its effectiveness in our schools, on the India-Pakistan border, and in criminal justice environments.
He weaves in personal experiences from his youth in the West Seattle and White Center areas of Seattle, Washington, creating a riveting and illuminating presentation. His previous programs — for groups such the US Navy and Marine Corps, Coalition of Essential Schools, Character Education Partnership, the European Union, the University of California Graduate School of Management, Sharp Healthcare (San Diego – Grand Rounds), At Risk Youth National Forums, Seattle University, Mothers Against Violence, and a myriad of others — have received rave reviews.
This multi-media program is informative and inspirational. Edvita is proud to sponsor this presentation, providing it at no charge to qualified groups. Free announcement flyer artwork is available.
